sponsorships & community service

At MFA – Moody, Famiglietti & Andronico, LLP one of our core values is care for our community. We strive to be good corporate citizens through involvement with these and other organizations.

High School Outreach Program
MFA recognizes the importance of participating in our community by expanding the awareness of career opportunities among young people.  MFA’s High School Outreach Program is an academically motivating activity designed to broaden the horizons of high school students by exposing them to the merits of a professional career as a certified public accountant and/or as one of our many professional leaders who contribute to the success of our firm.

The program exposes students from area schools to various disciplines within a public accounting firm – tax, audit, consulting, marketing, finance and administration.  Through interaction with professionals, students gain first-hand knowledge of business and the public accounting profession.  Firm members share their personal stories – why they chose their profession, their education path and their day-to-day experiences at MFA.  Participating schools include Wilmington High School and Pope John XXIII High School in Everett.

Lazarus House Ministries, Good Shepard Center, Lawrence, MA
In 2009, MFA chose to concentrate its charitable efforts on a single organization near and dear to our community — Lazarus House Ministries. Care For Our Community is a core value at MFA and we are honored to support such a committed and caring organization.

Located in Lawrence, Massachusetts, the Lazarus House provides a broad range of services to people who are in dire need of life's most basic necessities. Beyond offering food and emergency shelter services, the Lazarus House provides services designed to empower families and individuals to break the cycle of poverty and become more productive members of the community. These services include, but are not limited to, free medical and dental services, English classes, life skills, job-training skills, a paid work internship program and a pre-school program. Lazarus house also provides a home to individuals and families living with the aids virus.

The Lazarus House serves over 8,000 people per month and relies on its three thrift stores as well as the generosity of individuals, corporations, foundations, churches and other social organizations to help sustain its programs.
